Looking forward to the new version!
Just one question, will the new SysAid have full support for html-emails? Just about the only thing i'm missing
Also, will the windows in the knowledgebase be resizable in the new version?

StianSv,
I assume you know that there is support for HTML emails in 6.0, unless the functionality available is not what you would class as "full support".
Regarding the Knowledgebase, if you mean can you change the width of the two columns, this is not currently available in 6.5.03.
Have you posted both of the changes you require as Feature Requests on the forum?

Once again, thank you for the quick reply
I know that there is HTML-support on outbound emails from SysAid, but it doesnt seem like SysAid has it on incoming emails (at least not enough).
F.ex: We have alot of webbased reports written in ASP that users quite commonly copy data out of and email to us with questions regarding numbers in the reports etc. The formatting however is all messed up when we receive the mail in SysAid. All the text just appears on seperate lines. There's no tables or anything. Unfortunetly I cannot send an example as all these reports are restricted to employees only.
Thats what I mean about "full support", doesnt seem like SysAid can handle tables etc in mail.
I dont have the html-function enabled in SysAid at the moment, just using plain text, but we tested this a while ago with html support enabled and it was the same then. We turned off html-support again as there where no line breaks in the emails we sent out (I added <br> in the customization part).
I havent posted this in the Feature Requests, but I will certainly if it is not included in the newest version
EDIT: Ops, i missed the v6.0 part... we're still using v5.6.09 so that might explain it?

StianSv,
The emails are not the issue with HTML integration, it is the field that the email content is going into. The description field in SysAid (where the body of the email goes into) is a plain text field, as is all the fields, there are no HTML fields within SysAid. This is why you cannot get the internal HTML emails correct.
You should post a feature request asking for HTML in the description field.
Have I explained that well enough? lol not sure how clear that was!

BJINS,
Your explanation was perfectly clear
I will post this as a feature request as this is something that we're rather dependent on when it comes to theese specific mails (imagine trying to make sense of a report which is viewed in plain text )
Thank you for your help

StianSv,
A possible workaround for now would be getting your users to attach emails/reports/html templates. This would then be stored as an attachment within the SR and displayed correctly.

I saw in the beta that you can schedule the automated imports of CSVs for End Users. Is there any way to specify more than one .csv? I import user information from both LDAP and AD, and need to be able to schedule two separate import jobs. Is this possible?

andykeppel, I see that you are a SysAid pathfinder, are you testing the current RC at the moment? Having had a look at the current functionality of this import schedular, it does not look as though you can schedule for more than one file. If someone at SysAid can confirm this then if you would be best to add this as a Feature Request for the next release. M

At the moment, there is no option to schedule more then one CSV per module (one for the users, one for assets ect'), and i saw andy already opened a request.
Be sure to vote on it if you want to see this feature implemented soon.
Regards.
