Hi guys,

I'm looking a way to format the $DueDate and $CloseDate variables, on mail notification to European format (or a custom format).

I always receive on mails, the American format date.

Any clue?

Cheers,

Hi possebon,

In order to change the date style please change it in Preferences > Account Defaults.
You can also change it in Preferences > My Settings.

Let me know if this has resolved your issue.

Best Regards,
Itay

Is there a way to get the end-user's department as a variable? It seems odd that ${Department} isn't in the list of available tags (and it doesn't work), and it would be very helpful for us.

Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy,

Welcome to our community.

Actually it is possible,
${ReqUser.department} - Shows the request user's department.

You can click on the ? when you open Customize > Notification and check all the available fields.

We are using Sysaid 7.5.04. We use the department field for location rather than department. I want that field to be in the administrator's email but instead of the caption I get the key.

Here is that line in my customized notification:

Request User: ${RequestUser} Location: ${ReqUser.department}

Here is the result in the administrator's email:

Request User: Mickey Mouse Location: 17

This is really vital to us so that the admin's know which building they are going to.

You say in the last post that this works, but I can't get it to work.

Thanks.

Jane
