Is it possible for end users to view other service requests submitted by users from the same company?
I know I could do this if all my end users were administrators.

I would have thought so, if you define them all as company supervisors, but not very practicle to set up.

Hello PaulB,
As techguy said, the only option to allow all your end users to see other requests from other user is to put all the users under the same company or department and then configure them as company/department supervisors (which is only available in the full edition of SysAid)
Best regards.

I didn't understand your question.
Any "and user" can see his SR's. Supervisor can see his company or department SR's.
Is that what you asked?

Sorry No, only administrators can have jobs assigned to them, that is how the licensing model works. There is a supervisors role, but that used in the way described above.

hye Lev,
i mean.. is there any role for Engineer? i want the engineer to view all requests which have been assigned by admin to them only. meaning, they can view their jobs only, cannot add, edit or delete or etc.. just view. hope that is clearer to you.. thanks..

Dear Newbie,
You can set an administrator as an enginier (the way you have described).
All you have to do is to limit the permissions for this specific administrator so that he will be able to only view the service requests assigned to him and that's it.

sorry for not making it clear in my reply above, what I was trying to say was, there is no actual role "engineer" it is effectively an administrator that has had its rights limited in the way mentioned above.

oo.. i see. thanks techguy.
by they way, may i know why my so-called engineer seems like they can add new service request, edit, delete etc? but at the end, they can't. how can i omit all options is not accessible by them? so that they won't feel like got so many things it seems can be done by them, unfortunately cannot.
thanks in advance.

newbie,
Currently, the icons are available to all administrators in SysAid, but only who have the actual permissions can apply the change.
We are working on changing SysAid to show only the icons and links to parts you have permissions to.
In version 6, this will start to be implemented.
Best regards.

Can a company supervisor view just active tickets, or closed tickets as well?
Thanks
Justin
