I would like to have the possibility to restrict the possibility to change the due date for (certain) admins. I notice that our administrators change the due dates quite often (mostly to get rid of the annoying escalation messages...). Of course there can be good reasons to change the due date so I do not want to remove it from regarding admin view entirely.
Ideally there would be a more granular permission scheme which allows to fine tune permissions based on user groups, etc much more elaborately than we can do it now.

This is already possible in SysAid. If you use the blue cogwheel (customize) icon on the service request form, you'll see there's an option to set a field as "View only except for User Groups:" Select the due date field, enable this option, and choose which admin groups can manually change the due date. All other admins will only be able to see the due date, not change it.

Hi David
I can see 'View Only' on the customize screen but can't work out how to make view only for a set group.
Where do I need to be??

Hi guys,
This is possible in SysAid Server v7.0.05.
Which versions are you using?
Do you have all the permissions needed to change this setting?

Best Regards,
Itay |

Hello, one question on changing due dates. When you change a due date does it still breach on the original submission date or does it breach when you first change the due date? I have had discussions on this before and want to make sure.
Thanks

Hi BrettF, Are you referring to agreement breaching or breaches in the reports?

A clarification to my earlier post:
In SysAid Enterprise edition, you can set fields as view only except for specific user groups. In other SysAid editions, you can set the field as view only for everybody or nobody. Your SysAid edition appears next to the version number on the top bar of SysAid (next to your account ID).

I am talking about when a ticket is submitted and then I change the due date because he is out of town, I want to make sure it changes it in the breach report.
