(I apologize if this is the wrong forum.)

Hey all, I recently got myself a copy (on CD) of Linux Ubuntu. I don't know anything about linux, btw.

The problem is I downloaded/installed it onto my computer, buuuut when I got it up an running as a preview, nothing worked. It'll stop at a black screen, or in very rare cases make it all the way to at least having the wallpaper before freezing. Any idea what's wrong or how I can fix it so I can run linux?

Match the hardware specs it sounded like not enough resource thing...
That is not a bug, it's a feature...
