For some remote cases when someone has an issue with a laptop and i cant connect with them using the deployment tool (nat, or routing) i would like to set up a web link for them to download a zip file and then install the client, but i dont want them to have to fill in th eform. Is there an automated script so i can have that info filled in automatically?

I second this comment and would like a script to run on a client machine to install the SysAid Agent (particularly helpful when setting up a new machine for a user).

As you said, all you need to do, is to create a script that will run the agent installation with all the needed details so the user just need to double click on it.

You need to create a .bat file (you can do it even with notepad) with the following syntax:

SysAidAgent.exe /verysilent /URL http://<hostname>:<port> /account <account_ID> /serial <serial_key> /install once /AllowRegister Y /AllowRemoteControl Y /SubmitSRShortcut SysAid
For further details on the various switches please refer to pages 74-77 in the SysAid User Manual. The manual can be acquired from the attached link: http://www.ilient.com/down/SysaidUserManual.pdf

Ok this is my .bat file that i use when installing sysaid on remote location

SysaidAgent.exe /VERYSILENT /URL http://myipaddress:port /account myaccountid /serial myserial /install /AllowRegister Y /AllowRemoteControl Y /SubmitSRShortcut Sysaid /HotKey 0 /Interval 30 /ConfirmRC N /RandomMachineID N /LogLevel 3 /AllowSubmitSR Y

create a .bat file with this string and copy it to your sysaid agent folder (sysaid agent exe name must be SysaidAgent.exe in this procedure)

Have to say that LogLevel 3 is not working this must be added to registry manually from regedit

and there is no way around to install mirrordriver via batch file (if anyone found please tell!!!!)

Hi mademirci,

I use a .zip file with the mirrordriver.exe, sysaidagent.exe and a .bat file to deploy the agent in these situations. Makes it easy to email the .zip to someone and they can do the install for you...

I haven't tried it on vista yet, but I suspect the user may have to right click the .bat file and "run as administrator".
Here is the simple .bat file to install the mirror driver and the agent which guides the user through it.

I posted a question in another thread regarding the "/AllowRegister" switch. I have ommited it in my batch file because I don't know what it does and it isn't in the documentation. If anyone can shed some light I would really appreciate it so I can determine if I need to include it or not.
