Hi, my sysaid database had grown huge, so after doing some reading here I upgraded to the latest version and truncated the computer_history table, which reduced the database size by 80%!

I have two questions:
1. We had the inventory option set to every 2 hours!!! I have changed that to 10 days, but is there a recommended time frame for this?
2. Is there anyway to auto purge the computer history when the entries reach a certain age? An option to delete anything, say, older than 6 months automalticaly would be great!

What version of sysaid are you running? because there where some fixes to prevent it getting so large in the latest couple of versions.

Just upgraded to the last version, on MS SQL.

So hopefully it wont happen again?!

Hey Ed,

In patch 6.0.09 a few changes were made to the database structure to reduce it's size which could inflate rapidly on some cases.
