Things here at SysAid are gearing up as we put the finishing touches on the Beta version of our newest release, SysAid 6.5. As we fine-tune many of its new features, I'm struck by the fact that so much of SysAid 6.5 reflects the feedback of SysAiders worldwide. Your input inspires many of our developments, so in SysAid 6.5, you may just recognize your own ideas in SysAid's new capabilities.
For a small taste of what's to come on October 19, we're happy to provide you with a screenshot sneak preview of SysAid 6.5 as well as the SysAid 6.5 Presentation. We've developed almost 90 new features, including two brand new modules. With innovative tools and functionalities offered by no other software, SysAid 6.5 is truly unique!
Starting October 19, you also have the opportunity to try SysAid Beta 6.5 for yourself. With the SysAid Pathfinder Program, you can see every new release first and give us the feedback that helps us make SysAid even better. SysAid Pathfinders form a unique group of tech innovators that help forge the future course of SysAid - and have a pretty good time as they do it. Read this month's Pathfinder story on veteran SysAider Jonathan Purvis to see why being a Pathfinder is worth your while.
I would also like to remind you that in November, we are offering our next course of the SysAid Certification Program. Featuring techniques and methods to maximize your use of SysAid, the November course is also your chance to explore SysAid 6.5 in depth. We're currently offering a special early bird price for the November course, but don't wait to register - the promotion ends on October 12!
To see what else is happening at SysAid this October, read the October SysAid Newsletter!

This is good news. Will the steps on how to upgrade with this newer version be sent out to each company that had purchased it? or we............?

Hey!!
That sounds really interesting!! Most of features seem to be quite useful!
Will it be a 6.5 version of the SysAid Agent? What about The Agent for MAC OS assets?

Looks great, excited to try it out. Two questions though,
I checked the feature list and didn't see anything about the Role Based Permissions that were to be in this release. Is there any news on that?
Also, was the bug going to be fixed that sent notifications to Assigned To people when creating a change or problem template?

Hi andykeppel,
You are correct, there are a few more features that still need to be added to the relase notes - we are finalizing them these days.
The 2 additional relevant features to our comment I confirm will be in release 6.5 are :
Create the permissions per groups Vs individual permission per user. and assign group permissions. you can create multiple group permissions and assign a user to multiple groups - the user will receive the total highest permissions of all the groups.
You may choose whether to assign group permissions or individual permission for each user.
The second Feature is related to controlling the values that user can enter in to customized lists in the Service Request Form, you may decide to limit certain values to certain groups - for example - only senior support can change the status of a service request to verified closed, or decide an issue is Urgent etc....
I will update the release notes including the list of bug fixes in the next few days,
I am almost sure that the issue with sending notifications on creation of templates has been resolved - but I need to double check that.
Thanks for all your good inputs ! we are excited here at SysAid towards the new release !

Oded...
How about the querry thing ?
Will there be more options (like there are "is not" instead of only "is"...) ?
|
That is not a bug, it's a feature...

Yup,
I know for sure that we added "is not" to the categories in the expression builder.

I looked through the release notes and I didn't see anyting relating to this issue being fixed
http://www.ilient.com/Sysforums/posts/list/2774.page#12655
I was wondering if you could give an update on if this was going to be fixed in release 6.5?
Thanks
