Mua hah ah ah ah ah ah a hah ahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Fan bloody tastic !
I love it !!
If charts for monitoring is available it would be perfect.
Does creating custom charts (not designing it but really creating it from scratch and relating it to any field in the database) part of the certification syllabus ?

Charts now is a view.
Like any other view in sysaid.. you now can have endless charts (group of four) by defining different kinds of view.
The rotating thing eliminates the need to click on each view. You can set it to change view automagically.
The dashboard used to be my "wallpaper".. now...
*dramatic pause*
it's a friggin "screensaver" !

wtf?
I've 6.5.05 and didn't manage to let "charts rotate". How did you do that?
Just took a look inside the updated user manual - without success...
best regards,
EbroIN

@BJINS...
On the dashboard... on the "toolbar" you notice an addition of small circular green arrow ? Don't click on it yet... you need to have more than one view to do that. Next to it is a "VIEW: links" to change view just like on the SR list.
First enable the rotating thing by going to "preference" and then "my setting" it's way below there's a check mark field called "enable automatic rotating view on dashboard". Check it. Save.
Next go back to the dashboard. Go to "design dashboard". Click on the view link. You will have two options... one is to decide if you want to include current view to be rotated (I really REALLY appreciate Illient support team thoughfullness to provide this as an option)... one is to define new view.
To define new view simply enter a name for the view and click apply. You will get a new set of default charts ready to be designed. Go ahead and designed it.
Now you got two view.
If you exclude both to be rotated automatically, you can change the view either by selecting it like we always do on SR list... or you can click on the green circular arrow. If you include both to be rotated automatically the view will change according to the refresh time.
How to set the refresh time ?
Go to "customized" and then "appearance". There's a field called "automatic" refresh. To test it set it as low as possible. So you don't die out of impatient.
Go get a cup of coffee, some snack and go back to the dashboard sit back relax to watch the magic.
Mobillicorpus !!
After you survive the thrill and prolly several rounds of mexican waves,
Ask yourself what can you get from this feature...
*smile*
Happy rotating !
Ebroin I just answer similar problem last night and propose a workaround to produce monitoring charts.
And good god ! I have no idea of that request... you're most definitely got my vote !
Many thanks...
*slight bow smile*

Obelix,
Well done! couldn't have explained it better myself......:)
No go ahead and purchase that LCD screen and hang it up in your department login to SysAid and go to the Manager Dashboard module.
Now everyone can get a realtime insite of what's going on !
