Hi
although we have purchased the change request modules we don't want to start to use it yet
But the users get the ' change request actions ' button in the end user portal
Any Idea how I can switch this off to avoid confusing users ?

You can edit the user-end-portal.htm file to comment that part of the code out. It starts with #if( ${itilEnabled})

I would however urge you to contact the support team. They will be able to tell you exactly how many lines to comment out and the possible impact.

In this case, you will need to edit the user-end-portal.htm file and remove the following lines:
<tr>
#if( ${itilEnabled}) <!--itil condition instead of true-->
<td>
#if($ !(${noframe}) )
#if( ${isLogged})
<a href="EndUserActions.jsp">
#else
<a href="EndUserActions.jsp?accountId=$loginBean.getAccountID()">
#end
#else
#if( ${isLogged})
<a href="EndUserActions.jsp?noframe=YES">
#else
<a href="EndUserActions.jsp?noframe=YES&accountId=$loginBean.getAccountID()">
#end
#end
<img class="ImageBtn_OnlyHover" src="icons/end_user_screen/btn_approve_idle.jpg" />
</a>
</td>
<td width="26"> </td>
<td valign="top" width="240" class="Form_Ctrl_Label">
#if($ !(${noframe}) )
#if( ${isLogged})
#if($ !(${cssEnabled}) )
<a class="GreenLink" href="EndUserActions.jsp">
#else
<a class="OrangeLink" href="EndUserActions.jsp">
#end

#else
#if($ !(${cssEnabled}) )
<a class="GreenLink" href="EndUserActions.jsp?accountId=$loginBean.getAccountID()">
#else
<a class="OrangeLink" href="EndUserActions.jsp?accountId=$loginBean.getAccountID()">
#end
#end
#else
#if( ${isLogged})
#if($ !(${cssEnabled}) )
<a class="GreenLink" href="EndUserActions.jsp?noframe=YES">
#else
<a class="OrangeLink" href="EndUserActions.jsp?noframe=YES">
#end

#else
#if($ !(${cssEnabled}) )
<a class="GreenLink" href="EndUserActions.jsp?noframe=YES&accountId=$loginBean.getAccountID()">
#else
<a class="OrangeLink" href="EndUserActions.jsp?noframe=YES&accountId=$loginBean.getAccountID()">
#end

#end
#end
$rb.getString('endUserPortal.actions')
</a><br/><br/>
$rb.getString('endUserPortal.actions.explanation')
</td>
#end
</tr>

I inserted that line and reloaded the html files but change request actions still show up in the end user portal. Anything I'm missing.

Hi zibius,

First, let me welcome you to our community and I hope you will find all the information you need here.

Regarding your question, please replace the first <tr> with this: <tr style="display:none"> and save the file.
Now go to Customize > Appearance and direct the HTML Location to the folder that you save your customized files. Please save only the customized files there and not all the files from the original HTML folder. Now save and click on the reload template.

If this didn't help please provide us with screenshot's and the file html file.
Also let us know which version you are using.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,
Itay
