I am having a problem remote controlling all of my Windows 7 computers using the SysAid App. Remote Control works flawlessly on Windows XP computers, but when I click “start” within SysAid under the RC tab for a Windows 7 computer it will just refresh the screen and never throw up the remote control prompt on the client computer.
Is there something specific I need to do for Windows 7 computers so that remote control will work?

I know the new agent was suppose to help, however I am seeing the same as you even with the new agent.

Hi agensysit,
Please redeploy the agent to one of your Windows 7 machine using the mirror drivers and try again.
It should help you with connecting to these machine.
Best regards,
Itay

I did a search on your site and in the forums. I did not find anything about "mirror drivers". Where can I download them from?

Hi agensysit,
The mirror drivers are available in the Setting of the deployment tool.

If the deployment tool doesn't install the mirror driver please use this installation file depending on your OS to install the mirror driver and reduce the latency.

I tried again and again to using the “Deploy SysAid” tool, although I was able to find and enable the “Install mirror driver to accelerate performance” I could not get the tool to deploy the agent to any of my test computers.
I currently deploy the agent through the MIS package via a GPO. I did find and enable the “REMOTECONTROLMIRRORDRIVER” in the MST and was able to redeployed the agent to all of my computers including my main computer, that I remote from, but it still is not working.

I downloaded the drivers you linked but I noticed that none of them are for Windows 7. As I said above I successfully deployed the agent with the "REMOTECONTROLMIRRORDRIVER" enabled in the MSI package. Is that going to be enough or should I also install the drivers on each computer as well?
I also noticed you said this is to reduce latency I am not getting any latency so much as much no connection at all.

Hello, guys
I have the same issuee, I try remote asset with windows 7 and the user doesn´t receive the message of confirmation, I try deploy agent with enable confirmation and disable confirmation, the version is 6.5.07, I try to disable the UAC User Access Control on the asset, and I cant remote the machine. I have the drivers that i found in some Forum but none of them are for windows 7.
Thank you

Update:
My service request for this issue was ultimately escalated to the SysAid senior support team. I supplied them with screenshots of my configuration and SysAid logs files from the remote windows 7 computer as requested by the SysAid support team. It turns out that they will not be able to support Windows 7 until SysAid version 7.0 comes out. As of now they where not able to provide me with any kind of ETA other then the next couple to few months. This really sucks because I really like this software, I guess I will have to keep my eye out for other alternatives.

I actually brought this up to Ilient back in November when I started noticing this. They said they were working on it, so I would like to know, that since I got a beta test email today about SysAid 7.0, is this problem actually fixed or not?

Hi,
I had the same problem with Windows 7 64bits but now it's working fine. I installed the new drivers (http://webdist.sysaid.com/drivers.zip) and turned aero off (http://www.helpvids.com/video/458/how-to-disable-aero-in-windows-7). After it, RC worked fine.
hope it helps,
Miguel

Hi All,
We were investigating this issue and we were able to find the problem that cause the connection failure on some of the Win 7 machines.
A new agent will be released next week. We will send you all a notification and we will ask you to help us by testing this new agent on your site.
Hopefully it will work in all cases.
This agent will include the fix for Windows 7 for SysAid 6.5. In a few month we are expecting to have a new SysAid release, 7.0, with a new version of the remote control tool which will improve the RC performance and will fix some known issues as well.
Thanks,
Asaf
