We have just purchased Sysaid and i have to say that i am not entirely happy at the moment with this product, we have about 70 workstations and servers etc that i need to install the agent on.
And will say that i am completly struggling with this, first i downloaded the .msi file and used Orca as described in the online article on how to change setting etc then deployed via group policy, and have found that it does not install correctly at all, in the event log i get the following message The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2753. The arguments are: updrun.exe.
So the i thought that i would use the deployment tools supplied with the product so i browse the network and see all the clients that i need to install onto, i am doing this from a Domain Controller so logon details should be ok, i have turned of the firewall via group policy on all machines, and when i go to deply i get the following error messages Installation failed, reason: Registry Connect Error.
I really have not got the time to install this agent individually on every PC, so any help would be appreciated because i am losing the will to live on this.

Hi, im having the same problem.
I have installed SYSAID on a Windows 2003 server (Server1). But I want to make the deploy from a Windows 7 Laptop (Computer1) To Windows XP computers and/or Windows 2003, 2008 servers.
When i try to send the deployment i get the following error:
Installation on \\Server1.mydomain.com
Installation failed, reason: Registry Connect Error
My guess is that it has something to do with my Antivirus software (McAfee).
Does anyone have a clue?
I researched other solutions but i haven't had any luck.

Can you do a quick test to deploy the agent from an XP machine to your Windows XP, 2003, 2008 servers ?
