I am a newcomer, so I hate to start out by being critical, but the gold text on a white background is very tiring to read. Is there any chance it can be changed?

Welcome to the Community!!!
Which part of SysAid are you referring to. There are a few headings that have a "gold" colour. You can change these, but it is not advised. Take in consideration that these type of changes will revert back to the default when upgrades are applied in the future.

Here you go.....the color actually looks more orange to me here at my office PC, but still hard to read.

The color i see is orange.. and i don't think it's hard to read..
maybe you have something with your display ?
