I'd be very grateful if anyone already has a filter menu for subcategory and can let me know how to set it up?

Hello,
To add a dynamic filter (drop-down list) for sub categories, please do the following:
1. From the Help Desk List (DEFAULT view), click on the “Customize List” button (blue cogwheel icon).
2. In the Customize List window, click on “Add” (to the right of Filter Menus).
a) In the Name field, type the name of the filter. In this case, you can type
Sub Category.
b) Enter the following information in the appropriate fields:
List Field: problem_sub_type
Lookup Table: problem_type
Lookup Field: problem_sub_type
Lookup Caption: problem_sub_type
3. Click on “Close” and then “Save”.
Note: The Sub Category filter does not depend on the Category filter. This means that you will always see all sub categories in the filter, regardless of the value in the Category filter.

Hi themaster,
I'm pretty sure we have it here but...
In order to setup a Location drop-down filter in Help Desk -> List, please do the following:
1. Go to Help Desk -> List and click on the “Customize List” button (blue cogwheel icon).
2. In the Customize List window, click on “Add” (to the right of Filter Menus) and enter the following information in the appropriate fields:
Name: Location (any name of your choice)
List Field: r.location
Lookup Table: cust_values where list_name = 'location'
Lookup Field: value_key
Lookup Caption: value_caption
3. Click on “Close” and then “Save”.
|
Best Regards,
Itay |
