I noticed after we upgraded to V7.0.05 when I’m now remote controlling a PC using VNC, if I log a user out of windows it closes my VNC session down. Is there a setting I can change to stop this happening?

Just found the answer to this is. I had a rule set up in the Remote Control Preferences to not allow RC access on any PC's in the servers asset section.

|
|
Any one have any ideas why this is, I installed the SysAid Agent onto a PC & its picked it up as an asset, all the details on the asset are there just as normal. When I click the RC tab to remote Control the box I see this message:
Remote Control forbidden on this computer.

V6.5.08
This message appears everytime I create a new SR, the Submit User is me & then I would change the Request user to who ever asked me to create the request.

|
|
When ever I create a new service Request on behalf of someone else, even though I have assigned it to them I see a box like this:

Can anyone advise how to turn this off or advise what the benefit is. Its obvious I have an action to undertake as I’ve just created the request. Is there a message queue some where where all the un-actioned requests are stored?

Is there any way of turning off the annoying message you get (link below) when you send an email from a service request.

Is there any secret to deploying the agent via the Network Discovery Tool? I cant seam to get this to work either. I can deploy the agent via the "Deploy SysAid" shortcut in the SysAid Tools folder (start menu) but nothing happens when Im using Network discovery.
Here's what Im trying to do:
Removed agent from PC with Deploy SysAid tool
Delete Asset from database
Network Discovery >
Deploy Agents via IP Range:
Discovery service name - SysAid Server
IP Range - 192.168.10.175 to 192.168.10.175
Deploy Method - Deploy
Run as user - Administrator
Password - my domain password
Exclude IP List - nothing entered
Schedule - N
Hit the Run Now Button

I wasn’t running the Remote control tool on my PC. I also noticed that if I have the encryption ticked when I try to connect to the target PC it throws up an error. So I now have it working without encryption.
Any suggestions how I can encrypt the connection on the target PC?
Also is there a way of deploying the SysAid Agent without it putting a desktop shortcut on the desktop? We don’t want users to have access to the web portal.
Cheers

Hi,
I am having a few issues setting remote control up in SysAid. I see the attached error when I try to connect to a PC. I have SysAid Tools installed on my PC & have deployed SysAid to the target PC. When I initiate the remote control tool the message appears on the target PC to allow use of remote control. I click the Accept connection & then I see the error message on my PC.
I have a VNC icon in the system tray on the target PC.
Any sugestion what this might be or the answer to get it working?

I’m unsure where this post needs to go so Im posting it here.
Is there any way to bulk edit helpdesk service requests. The only bulk option I can see on the top menu is to change the status field of requests. I need to be able to change the date & also categories of a load of requests at once rather than going through 300 individual requests.
I'm running v6.0.09
