SysAid free version 6.5 logging user out after inactivity perios

hope I can find the right area for this...While logged into the above mentioned version, if I am inactive for a period of time, then go in to modify a SR, it bumps me back to the login screen after trying to apply a change, as if i'm logged out due to inactivity.

Where might I change the "timeout" period so to speak, if indeed I can do that at all???

Thanks in advance!

Hello sccs,

if you want to change the timeout interval, please edit the file:
...\SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\conf\serverConf.xml.
You can find this file among the SysAid files on your computer.

Go to this file and after the line:
webServerUser>false</webServerUser>

please add in a new line:
<maxInactiveInterval>____</maxInactiveInterval>

Fill in the blank space (____) the timeout value of your choice in seconds.
Finally, restart the "SysAid Server" service. Now the interval you have chosen will be activated.

Ori Sharon.
Best Regards.

I think you can change the serverConf.xml file that is found at ...\SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\conf to change the inactive timeout.

Haim said:
add <maxInactiveInterval>XXXXXX</maxInactiveInterval>
in a new line after the line <webServerUser>false</webServerUser> (replace the XXXXXX with the timeout value in seconds) and then restart the "Sys Aid Server" service.

Tex

edit: looks like Ori beat me to it
