SysAid Version 2.0.20 We are glad to announce a free SysAid patch.
SysAid provides the best help desk and asset management around. With this patch, your version of SysAid will be even better.
Version:
2.0.20
New Features:
POP3 email integration:
Administrators can create a special email account for the help desk. When users send email from a service request screen, the message will be sent through this account. When users reply to the email, Sysaid will automatically associate the reply with the proper service request. The email exchange will be logged and displayed on the service request screen.
As well, users can submit service requests via email.
Be sure to create a unique email account for the email integration. Do not use your own email address.
In the deployment, the administrator can change the default hot key.
When end users click on an old service request, they no longer see a static set of details. Now, what details they see are determined by the EndUser View, a list of parameters which administrators can edit (from the Help Desk page).
The Download page includes more information on the files you can download. It also includes links to guides.
A new SMS provider - GSMActive.
The agent deployment screen includes a new option, enabling users to confirm or deny remote control.
Bug Fixings :
Fixed a bug on the remote control tool which sometimes prevented the user from changing the port number.
Avoids writing velocity.log file.
The “Software Products” and “Hardware/Software” reports now works on the Firebird database.
Fixed a typo in a report.
Fixed bug that would not let you delete an escalation rule.
The system used to send notice of escalation to end users, even if marked not to. This has been fixed.
Fixed excell report export.
Removed “select locations” from default end user submission form.
Fixed some server uninstall cleanups.
Fixed installation script on LDAP configuration, which used to sometimes corrupt the configuration file.
