SysAid Version 2.0.25 We are glad to announce a free SysAid patch.
SysAid provides the best help desk and asset management around. With this patch, your version of SysAid will be even better.
Details:
Version: 2.0.25
Date Released: July 14, 2004
For use with version: 2.0.23
New Features:
SysAid now supports "groups" of administrators, end users, or both. Certain operations can now be performed per group, affecting all of its users. For example, service requests can be assigned to a group of administrators. Also, all service requests received from a group of users can be routed separately. This way, different administrators can handle only their own users.
Alerts for service requests. Administrators can choose parameters, based on which service requests will raise red, yellow, green, or flickering alerts. The alerts (colorful lights) appear in the service request list. They also appear in the asset list and asset group list, if appropriate service requests have been sent from the asset or group of assets. For example, administrators can choose to display a red alert for escalated service requests of "high" priority and "urgent" urgency. The alert system can be disabled.
When a service request is submitted from an asset, SysAid can automatically create a user account for that asset's user, if no such account already exists.
Administrators can choose if SysAid determines asset users according to the network user, the domain and user, or the asset owner.
Bug Fixings :
The routing page is now in a different location.
Fixed a problem in scheduling when using a MySQL database.
Fixed a bug in the translation feature.
Fixed the end user portal templates, which sometimes did not work properly.
The layout of service requests has been improved to accommodate third-level categories.
The reports have been expanded: They now support third-level categories; filters, if chosen, are displayed in the report; and the titles can be edited.
Placing a " character in a category name no longer causes problems.
When reinstalling SysAid, if a previous installation exists, the wizard warns that the database will be overridden.
