SysAid Version 3.0.5 Ilient is happy to announce a new SysAid patch.
We constantly add new features and remove
bugs from our SysAid IT management software so that you can
focus on what's really important -- keeping your in-house
customers happy.
SysAid provides the best help desk and asset management around. With this patch, your version of SysAid will be even better.
Version:
Version: 3.0.5
Date Released: December 8, 2005
New Features:
New web forms, letting you add a helpdesk submit form to an existing
webpage
Easy printing of single service requests, forms, and lists
Support for Apache Derby databases (http://db.apache.org/derby/).
SysAid will use the embedded derby database as the new default built-in
database. SysAid already support the following databases: Oracle 8i and
9i, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, MySQL 3.X and 4.X, and Firebird
1.5
Unicode (utf-8) support. SysAid now supports any language that can be
mapped to the Unicode standard. Russian, Greek, and Thai will finally be
supported. Use of Unicode characters also requires a Unicode
database--currently SysAid supports Unicode in MySQL and Derby
databases
New status classes, letting the SysAid reports and engine classify
custom statuses and provide precise reports in customized
environments
New reports for SLA tracking: Service Breaches by Category,
Administrator, or Company
Ability to customize LDAP integration (Active Directory) and email
integration parameters from the administrator's web interface
Bugs Fixed :
The following bugs have been fixed:
Deleted messages sometimes did not work with MS SQL database.
Remote control failed when the user was logged off.
Some list filters generated errors in MySQL database.
Temp files were sometimes not deleted.
"Forgot your password" was case sensitive even when the user set case
insensitive login names.
"Send email" was case sensitive even when the user set case
insensitive login names.
Unable to assign assets on new service requests in the administrator
interface.
Sometimes the search index locked and required manual actions to fix.
Remote control sometimes disabled the remote computer wallpaper.
Drilling down to helpdesk from an asset opened an inner frame with
duplicate menus.
An error occurred while sorting by "# licenses" in the software
product list.
LDAP auto detection caused problems in some A.D 2003
installations.
Sometimes "exclude date" in "operating times" could not be deleted.
