Ilient is happy to announce a new SysAid patch.

We constantly add new features and remove bugs from our SysAid IT management software so that you can focus on what's really important -- keeping your in-house customers happy.

SysAid provides the best help desk and asset management around. With this patch, your version of SysAid will be even better.

New Features: 

1. A new look for the End User Portal and Login pages.

2. You can edit the HTML of the End User Portal and Login pages. Learn how here.

3. A new object called Company (or Customer). Using this new object, you can divide your users into companies. This feature can help you support external users from multiple companies. You can limit administrators (in user permissions) to manage only particular companies. 


Fixed Bugs: 

The following bugs have been fixed: 

1. When creating new users directly from a service request, "$Password" was not being replaced with a password on the initial new user notification.

2. Sometimes while editing new self service items, an error occurred.

3. When using apostrophes in descriptions for assets, the descriptions printed incorrectly.

4. In the pop3 email integration, when emails contained both plain text and HTML bodies, duplicate email bodies occurred.

5. Customization of the colors in Appearance did not work on several pages.

6. When you clicked on one activity in the activity list, the proper activity did not open.

7. Some inner frames pages contained the top and left menus, which should appear only in the main frame.

8. In some pages, the "Cancel" button did not exit from the edit page.

9. When changing due date and time on a ticket (under the general details), the "Apply" button or "Ok" button were unavailable.

10. The purchase date and last maintenance date sometimes changed in the Asset Edit page. 



Please note: If you customized SysAid using the "Preferences -> Customize ->Customize Forms" menu, you should reapply your customization using the new HTML templates feature. Before applying the path, please read the instructions here

All the other customizations (such as Translate, Notifications, Lists, Appearance, etc.) will not be affected by this patch.

These updates are for the standard installation that uses the Tomcat server. If you use a different installation, contact us for a suitable update in a separate email. 

Run the downloaded file to upgrade your version of SysAid. When you install the update, the SysAid server will be restarted (Linux/Unix users must manually restart the Tomcat server). Thus, you should update SysAid when users are not accessing the system.
